St. Tammany Parish is the state's leader in rare native plant species, but many are now imperiled due to habitat loss. Latimore Smith will tell us about this and St. Tammany's Longleaf Pine Legacy on Wednesday, May 22 in Abita Springs! Food and refreshments will be available!

The Northshore Garden & Plant Show at the St. Tammany Fairgrounds is the place for plants on April 19 & 20 from 9 am - 3 pm! We are bringing a diversity of native trees, shrubs and perennials but be forewarned - the quantity on some species is ONE. One Hoptree, one Roughlead Dogwood, one 'Bogalusa Highway' yellow-berried Native Yaupon, one Black Cherry. It's Rick & Susan's last retail event as we are moving on to other things July 1! We look forward to seeing you!

Rick planted ‘Ben’s Creek’ at our old house renovation project in Pumpkin Center and it was really showing off this weekend! Besides contributing fall color, Viburnum dentatum (Southern Arrowwood) produces attractive flowers, and its fruiting and thick branching create an ideal bird habitat.

We will be a vendor at the Folsom Fall Garden Festival again this year on Saturday, October 28 from 8:30 - 2:30. Fall is a great time for planting and we have some larger native trees and shrubs to give you a good start. See you at Midway Church Park in Folsom, LA! Plant list is below.

Some of our plants made the trip to Clinton MS for the Clinton Community Nature Center Arbor Day Sale this Saturday, February 11! Proceeds help CCNC to continue connecting people to nature, provide a safe and relaxing escape, and take care of its forest, trails, and buildings.
