I Thought Giving Away Stuff Free Was A Good Idea But I May Have To Stop!

When I first started my junk removal business we was just like all the other companies.

Then I read a book called 'positioning' the future of your company depends on it by Al Ries and Jack Trout.

They explained how number one brands get to be number one.

You have to stand for something different in the category.

You need to have a position in the mind of your customers.

After going through a separation in my marriage I read "the star principle" by Richard Koch.

A Star business is in an industry that is growing by at least 10% or more a year and it's number one in it's industry.

Wow.

Basically the same concept as the positioning book.

It took me seven years to figure out how to make our junk removal company different.

My friend Doug introduced me to a system that helps people save 50-90% off junk removal when they're moving.

I opened a thrift store to keep stuff out of landfills but Covid hit.

I thought why not give the stuff away to people that need it.

We started giving stuff away. No other company is giving stuff away in the community.

We've furnished over seven families houses and given away plenty other stuff but...

Two years later I realize with the overhead of the shop we have to stay busy enough to make it make sense.

So I ask if you know realtors or anyone selling their house tell them about us so we don't have to stop giving stuff away!
