Designed with families in mind, this vibrant new zone features shaded seating, private cabanas, and interactive water features—all seamlessly connected to nearby dining for an all-day experience. Another example of how HAI brings immersive, guest-focused environments to life. 💧🏖️

🌆City Monument Project – Main Street and Imperial Highway

🧠HAI developed three conceptual designs for a new City Monument to be located at the intersection of Main Street and Imperial Highway. After careful review by City Council and staff, the preferred concept—“Old Time Postcard”—was selected.

🖼️✉️This design captures the historical and cultural essence of El Segundo, featuring a visual timeline that begins with the area’s early Native inhabitants and its natural, undeveloped landscape. It progresses through significant eras in the city’s development, including:

📈The Industrial Revolution
🛢️Oil production and manufacturing
🧑‍✈️Aviation and defense manufacturing
🚀Northrop Grumman’s contributions to space exploration
👩🏽‍💻The rise of technology and semiconductor industries, representing the future of El Segundo.

📍The monument site lies within a Southern California Edison (SCE) easement and is subject to additional constraints, including a high-pressure oil line easement and proximity to a Caltrans right-of-way.

📐HAI provided comprehensive design services for the project, including conceptual design, permitting, and construction support.

✨What a Lovely day for and their newest park!! It’s very exciting to see how amazing Sterns Park turned out after this renovation!
🎉 Congratulations to the City of Los Alamitos on completing such a thoughtful and community-oriented project. I think the inclusion of universally accessible play structures, exercise areas, and new landscaping is fantastic – it really makes it a great space for everyone to enjoy. 🌳🤸‍♀️ And delivering it on time and of course within budget is also a huge win! 🏆 We’re really proud of the work HAI did on this project, from the early design stages and Community Workshops all the way through construction management. 🙌

HAI is proud to have worked with the City of Long Beach as well as the California Coastal Commission to improve the Tot Lot and picnic area and achieve ADA compliance. The already popular park has become the jewel of the lagoon and compliments earlier phased improvements recently completed.

Congratulations to the City of Westminster with the opening of the Renovated Playground at Margie L Rice Park. The first of 5 new play areas throughout the City. The creative design is based on a Firehouse and Firefighter theme complimenting the adjacent OCFA Station.
