Exciting improvements are coming soon to airport parking this summer! 🚧✈️

The Park, Ride and Fly lot will be temporarily closed to new entrants starting May 5 as we begin a project to expand public parking, adding more than 150 spaces to better serve travelers in the future.

While this work is underway, parking will be more limited across airport lots. We encourage travelers to plan ahead and explore alternate parking options. After May 5, please do not plan to enter the Park, Ride and Fly lot while this important construction is underway.

Snowiest January on record!

It's official! This is now the snowiest January on record for Anchorage. Since Monday morning, we've seen 7.2" of snow, and we're not done with this storm yet. Moderate to heavy snow is likely to continue through the early evening commute. Be prepared for another 3-7" of snow today.

❄️ Winter Weather Update – Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC)

According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory remains in effect until this evening. The Anchorage area is currently receiving snow, with heavier snowfall expected this afternoon. Currently, ANC remains open, operational, and safe.

Please note that airlines have different winter-weather operating procedures. Some carriers may adjust schedules or cancel flights due to snowfall, visibility, deicing needs, or company policy.

What travelers should do:
• Monitor your flight status directly with your airline
• Contact your airline with questions about delays or cancellations
• Allow extra time for travel, parking, and security during snowy conditions

ANC operations and maintenance crews are working around the clock to clear runways, taxiways, and ramps, and to maintain safe airport operations. We appreciate your patience and encourage everyone to travel smart and stay safe during winter weather.
