Hey everyone! Thank you for your kind words and support!

I have been remiss in posting photos - just moved so I have been crazy busy with that and still working at the same time!

Here are some recent photos! Been planting all manner of evergreens and trees.

By they way, the photo, above is my friend and client's front porch. Thank you Patricia for making my page so pretty!

We are making pickles together next week. I am ridiculously excited about it! Hee!

Cross your fingers for me! I just applied for a grant from the Awesome Foundation Alaska chapter! (It's really a thing.) I am hoping to get some funding to expand my Seed to Feed project.

I've grown everything from seeds from the Alaska Botanical Garden or Alaska Mill and Feed this year (also some from the True Value store) ... Everything took off like gangbusters–vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit ... It's been quite the bounty.

If anyone out there would like some romaine lettuce or carrots or tomatoes or scallions, please let me know. They can be transplanted to your garden–they just need a sunny spot ...i have three tomato plants left and hundreds of carrots, probably 30 romaine, 20 scallions.

I also have columbine (a lovely variety of light pink and yellow–a native variety) plants that can be transplanted to your yard.

Pay what you can or not at all if you can't afford it. I just don't want them to go to waste!

And remember, just because it's fall or winter coming up doesn't mean the gardening has to end!! We can plan something for the interior of your home or office–add a water feature and it'll feel like summer all year!

This is precisely why I use no herbicides or insecticides in my gardening practices. Even sparse use of chemicals can have a deadly effect on surrounding animals and plants. The fact that these chemicals can last up to three years is extra chilling - I planted vegetables here but have no idea what poisons may have been put in that area two years ago ... We all need to be stewards of this earth and all of the wonderful plants and animals that surround us.

A popular class of insecticides has been linked to bird die-offs-a finding that parallels Rachel Carson's concerns back in 1962.
