Tim and Amy’s valley has been a major source of trouble for them. They’ve thrown socks full of salt up there, beaten it with sledgehammers and shoveled it. We had our electricians install a dedicated circuit and got their roof, valley and gutters lined with self-regulating heat tape…all within a week!

Another day, another heat tape job on the Upper Hillside. Thanks Dr. Edwards! They paid someone $4000 (!!!!!!!) to shovel their roof this winter (don’t ever pay that much). Now they don’t have to worry about ice dams…or getting ripped off by predatory roofing contractors.

Kelly in Airport Heights paid someone a handsome sum to install heat tape on her roof a few years ago. They installed 240v heat cable on a 120v circuit and clipped it to the shingles with the cheap paper clip-like constant wattage roof anchors. We’ve already replaced at least four of this amateur roof pirate’s shoddy work. We brought in our electrician and had two dedicated 120v circuits installed and provided her with a system that will work reliably for decades to come. Thanks Kelly!

Hillside heat tape in Heritage Heights. This family had multiple years of ice dams on their beautiful home which resulted in roof leaks. They hired supposedly reputable roof contractors to chip away ice dams, only to have them damage the roof with pneumatic tools.
