Hello everyone, Just want to put this out there, if you're having snow removed from your roofs, whether by professionals or doing it yourself, It is very important to know where your vents are for your furnaces and hot water heaters. Also pay attention to your gas meters as well. Try not to shovel snow on top of them or around them. I as a rule like to keep 3-4 feet cleared of snow around these things. I am getting many no heat calls, and many are because people had their roofs cleared and their vents got buried. A good snow removal contractor should be aware of this, but as I am seeing many calls due to this, I figured I would post this message to help save you some money. Remind contractors where your vents are and stay on top of them to make sure they clear the snow around the vents and meters before they finish up! Stay safe everyone!
