Clauss Designs Shop Closing Sale Is Finally Here! Saturday May 25th from 9am to 12pm and on Sunday 26th from 12pm to 3pm.
Location: 1875 West 275 North, Angola, IN 46703 Just behind Dollar General Store that is on the corner of 200 West and 275 N. We are the gray building and my business sign is white.
We have a multitude of items for sale! The pictures listed are just a few of many items.
We have fire tables, smoker grill with entertaining bar units, custom bathroom sinks, tools, carts, useful scrap steel sold in bulk bins at stupid low prices, school desk and chairs along with school supplies, Kitchen stove and microwave, large shop table and the list just keeps going of items that can be yours that are handy for use or enjoyment. Please come by to one of the open times or you may even reach out this week to meet for first chance options to buy with out a crowd.

A bittersweet time in my life. After 17 years of being able to create unique projects for some cool people over those years, it is time for me to move onto my next chapter in life. I have had some AMAZING projects blessed to work on over the years. Some projects that allowed me to showcase my artistic abilities and some that challenged me to be a problem solver on how to go about accomplishing the task in one way shape or form. I have hung 800 lbs. of concrete from the ceiling with beautiful results and have created and installed counters that reached 18ft in total length one piece! I have been in situations holding a 600 lb. counter up on a table that lost its strapping, by myself with no one around to help, with only a toolbelt and a tape measure to reach out to grab a broom stick to pull to me to save the day! I have experienced a lot from this unique business venture! So many good times meeting people and having good help along the way helping accomplish installing the projects.
It has been a tough decision to finally know it is time to level up to something different and experience life in a different way of allowing my abilities to shine to my fullest. After many months of journaling, talking with my wife, children and a few friends, I know this is what is going to be good for me for the rest of my second half of life.
To all of you who have supported me with projects, good referrals and good reviews of my work and business relationships as well as comments and likes over the years... I appreciate all the love and support you have given me!
It has been the type of work that I have been proud of creating for people. To make something you know people will enjoy with family and friends has always felt good to me knowing I am a part of making that happen for them.
Here is to new adventures! Change is part of life, no matter how scary it may feel sometimes, as long as we are true to ourselves and believe in ourselves, good things will come our way for new experiences we may have never fathomed possible.
So again... with a bittersweet post here to you all, I will be closing Clauss Designs doors at the end of May. I will be using this time until then to be purging much items and getting things here at the shop out for another business to utilize.
I will be posting in future posts of the offering of selling most of my business set up here as a turn key option for anyone who would like to take on the adventure of doing this type of work. offering an agreeable timeline of training of my knowledge to get them on the right successful path if the right person was to reach out. Otherwise I will be selling off many tools and showroom pieces here in the near future for anyone who would like a handcrafted item from Clauss Designs.

A handcrafted leather finish bathroom sink vanity top with a slope sink with a slot drain style for a unique user friendly sink design. With beautiful walnuty brown shades create a beautiful finish that truly has a leather textured finish for that one of a kind piece for your special bathroom.
Measurements:
Bathroom Vanity Top Size: 22"depth x 44"long x 2"edge thickness with the interior sink size being 15" x 27-1/2" with each side of sink surface being 8-1/4" of surface space. Front rail lip is 2" from front edge to start of sink and the back of sink to wall edge being 5". A faucet hole can be drilled in by you or I can do that for an additional service fee.
This vanity top would fit on a standard depth vanity base of 21" deep that is of length from 36" to 42".
We also offer options for a custom floating vanity base that could be designed for this one of a kind sink if you would like to talk details for that to be made.

Offering 3 table choices that are ready for gifting at Christmas are as follows:
Barrel styles:
An aged bourbon barrel with the steel bands that are lightly sanded to leave the smooth and beautiful leathery rusty patina and sealed with a protective sealer.
Another barrel option is a light oak wine barrel with a galvanized banning.
3 tops available while they last that fit either style of barrel, are with color options as follows.
1. A deep walnut stain tone that looks beautiful on either barrel.
2. A two tone hand-press finish with a light graphite and dark graphite blending finish for beautiful movement.
3. A two tone hand-press finish with a brown sugar base color with light accent marbling shades throughout. Truly a beautiful earthy finish.
All tops have a 3" stone edge profile for that massive stone look without the weight as our tops are a 1" slab thickness that is very durably made from our own in-house concrete mix designs that are engineered to stand the test of time.
Our sealers provide a satin finish with great stain resistance for added assurance when those fun evenings may get a glass of bourbon or wine spilled, rest assured your table is protected.
Easy to maintain with normal cleanup using a damp microfiber cloth and dawn dish soap or the like for any cleanups.
The nice thing about these tables are that the actual counter is a solid top, meaning even though it looks like the counter is a donut shape design with the barrel cutting through it, the barrel topper can actually be removed for added table space. Great for card or board games, serving dinner with plenty of room or even a great puzzle table with that favorite beverage of course!

Here is a fun example of a bourbon bar I made for a good friend and his wife for a wedding present. I enjoyed making this so much that I will be making more to follow!

Some details we did for this special piece are as follows:
:Sanded all wood areas for a smooth finish yet keeping the old
time weathered look of the barrel.
:Sanded the steel bands with a special pad to smooth out the pitted rust yet keep the rusty color tone for that awesome leather look it kept.
: Being a wedding gift I personalized the top with " The Clauss's Bourbon Bar, Established 2020. (used my last name there). This really looked awesome on top and made for a great a heirloom quality gift they will cherish for a lifetime.
: With the design of the support arms for this awesome marble finish technique concrete top, this thing is well supported and ready for a lifetime of fun with a sealer that will withstand any liquids and abrasion you would expect from any bar fun situation.

We had a great time sharing in celebrating with our community in the Freedom March Parade on July 4th 2020! It felt extra special this year with all the things going on with covid 19 pandemic. Our freedoms should not be taken.
As for our parade float, we were sporting 2 versions of fire tables of many options we can create. We had a white finish concrete dinner table with 2 bench seating that has a nice fire line down the middle with a flowing fire line shape and Caribbean blue fiberglass. It also has glow aggregates in the table top that glow blue in the evening for an added fun talking piece. Our other display is a graphite grey hand press finish with black accent sporting a contemporary style fire box design with crytal reflective fiberglass that has a low coffee table height perfect for sitting around with family and friends in the evenings with a favorite beverage and good conversation.

Recently created some wood grain finish concrete counters for an amazing man cave horse barn! This place is first class throughout. The cabinetry layout and build in this office/hangout area was done by S & S Woodworking and notice the closeup pics of their finish on the door panels and facing. Just some awesome work they put out. We created a wood grain finish that truly will get you to take a second look and want to touch it to figure it out. The tree bark edge detail is one of our in house techniques that gives a great natural tree bark look. Combine that with some walnut color tones and you have some beautiful unique counters that are unlike any others! Did I mention we put a hidden telescoping computer screen in the desk area? The owner was not wanting to have the monitor sitting out nor in a cabinet so I told him "why don't we just hide it under the counter and with the press of a button let it rise out to viewing height?" He said... "you can do that?" So I dialed in the cabinet company with all the info they needed on the mechanism for making this cool feature happen. There's always a creative answer to every problem.
This was a pleasure to share in giving this cool mancave barn some added character.

So many of you understand the craft of handcrafted work. Sometimes that is done on a larger scale of a company who has many artisans working on projects for their clients. Some do things in a smaller scale. That is Clauss Designs. I create concrete products of a multitude of Designs for my clients. Most are in countertop form and with that said I can create some bad ass pieces with this medium I use. I find it interesting to see even in this day and age of people who want all the cool stuff but at a penny price. there are still people out there who understand that those who know how to create with there medium are worth the investment of their hard earned money they worked for. Those are the clients I'm in search of. Let's work together on making your ideas come to fruition. That's what I offer. You have a vision? Well I've got more than you can handle. Let's do this!
