Sunday night felt like one of those evenings you wish you could bottle up forever.

We gathered on the porch at the lavender farm for dinner — kids riding bikes fearlessly through the property, babies playing in the grass, laughter echoing across the yard, and the lake glowing in the background on one of the first truly warm spring nights of the year.

I made my famous beef stroganoff, paper plates filled the tables, chocolate cake was passed around, wine was enjoyed, and everyone simply stayed awhile. Casual… but somehow grand at the same time.

We were celebrating a lot — belated Mother’s Day, birthdays for my brother Jason and my dad (both May 14), and really just the gift of being together.

The last time all of us were gathered here like this was last fall, during my mom’s final days. This property was such a huge part of my parents’ lives — they lived here for several years — and so many of my children’s core memories with Mammo and Pappo happened right here.

As I looked around at the babies, the bikes, the porch full of family, the joy, the chaos, and the love… I realized again that this farm is becoming so much more than a business.

It is a love story.
A legacy.
A gathering place.

And of course, none of this exists without Darian beside me — inspiring us to build every row, every dream, every late night, and every impossible idea turned real.

Somehow, in the middle of all the laughter and little feet running across the grass… it felt like Mom and Dad were still part of it too. 💜

We’ve been quietly building something all winter…

And we’re finally ready to share it with you. 🤍

What started as a simple lavender farm has grown into something so much more.

This season, we are opening Lake James Lavender Company—a thoughtfully curated shop and gathering space designed around the beauty, calm, and experience of lavender.

Inside, you’ll find:
• small-batch apothecary products
• hand-poured candles
• botanical body care
• curated home and gift pieces
• and a space created to feel like stepping into a quiet corner of the South of France

And just outside…

Our fields are coming back to life again.

We will be receiving hundreds of lavender plants in the coming weeks—available for pre-order and on our farm cart starting mid-May.

This has been a labor of love in every sense of the word—built by hand, piece by piece, season by season.

We can’t wait to open our doors and share it with you.

Well, that’s a wrap! Our first summer harvest is complete. We will be pulling the farm cart for a while and hope to have another bloom late summer just in time for our wedding! Thank you all for your wonderful support!
