This tornado has left parts of Ann Arbor in shambles. We’re trying to help as many people as we can. Wednesday morning we were out at 3am getting people help right away. 52 hours were put in, in just three days. Just on Wednesday we received 123 phone calls requesting some sort of help. Yesterday was an interesting day. This large walnut had been overly undermined. The ground kept caving away with the rain we have been getting. We met at 9pm and the next morning we were on site with a plan to get it down safely away from the two neighbors houses. Everything went off without a hitch and we were able to get home before it started raining again!

More wind is coming though tonight! We got a call just before dusk about a spruce that was actively uprooting, if it failed it was going on the neighbors house. We arrived 30 minutes after the call and were able to get the tree safely on the ground before it had a chance to fall all the way over. We felled it across a tree on the neighbors property that had failed earlier in the day . Super saturated soil followed by intense wind is a perfect recipe for tip overs.

Walk outside after the wind is done and take a look at the base of your trees. If you see heaving where there was none or fresh cracks in the dirt that is a clear indicator that the tree has moved beyond normal. If you see this give me a call. I’ll come out and take a look

We’re gearing up for another day of storm remediation. Yesterday we had 4 trees on house and multiple tipped over trees. After having as much rain as we have had followed by intense wind the over saturated ground can’t hold on resulting in a tip over. We are working as hard as possible to make sure everyone is taken care of. If you have any storm damage reach out to 734-474-6291 and we will make sure to help navigate you through this situation.
