Most mobile locksmiths do charge a service call to come out to your location. That fee covers gas and the employee time. We at XG Lock N Key always mention that fee upfront. We want you to be aware of it.
We recently had an incident where a customer tried to program his car key himself and what he ended up doing was ruining his car ignition system.
Please do not try to do this yourself.
