A customer reached out about a moldy ceiling. I would normally just tear it out and replace the entire ceiling, but it was good ol plaster. I approached it starting out with vinegar mixed with water in a spray bottle, and scrubbed all of the surface mold off, followed by scraping a layer of paint. After getting down to the bare plaster I was able to clean it all effectively before I primed the entire ceiling. 2 skim coats of compound later, I was able to prime and paint with Sherwin Williams premium ceiling paint which has mold resistant properties. This was a huge transformation and I will be back to paint the rest of their house when the are ready. Give me a call today for a free estimate. This is a small job we just completed last week. All of the ceilings were yellow from years of smoking. We primed all of the ceilings with pro block primer, and a coat of ceiling paint. The walls got a color called natural linen, and the trim and doors were all painted with emerald eurathane semi gloss. I was very happy with the outcome, and the clients also couldn't be more happy. Here's a small Job I got done this week. There was damage to the wall due to water splashing out of the tub. I removed a 24" section and replaced with mildew resistant drywall. I sealed all of the gaps with siliconized caulk, primed and painted.

This last job we did was definitely one for the showcase. Just about every nail was popping out of the walls in this home built in the 1960s. We took the extra time to knock every nail back in, and put 2 inch drywall screws in between every two nails. For the trim we sanded it lightly, cleaned it well then used a product called "stix" we found at Benjamin Moore to prime it with, then finished with Ben Moore regal select semi gloss. We patched all holes with "proform" joint compound with the black lid, 3 thin coats for a nice light sand job. Bedroom walls were painted with Ben Moore Regal select eggshell, color (Pale Oak) and the rest of the house got the same paint, but the color was (revere pewter) lightened 50%. Very happy customers, and it was quite a pleasure working with them. Remember, Manipulate Paint Brushes Not People.

Water damage is a real tough one. After getting their roof replaced, they hired me to fix the rotted out ceiling. Upon opening I found the entire ceiling was sagging down, so I cut out all of the rotted drywall and added firring strips for extra support. In the end we have a beautiful looking ceiling. Painted with Ben Moore calcimite oil base.
