From a distance, these cabinets looked perfectly fine—but up close, the story was a bit different. Yellowed lacquer, worn edges, surface damage, and everyday wear had definitely taken their toll.

With the right prep work—careful sanding, detailed filling, and a fresh, professional-grade ICRO finish—we were able to completely transform them.

Every project is a little different—and this one is a great example.

Our clients haven’t moved into their new home yet, which means we’ll have limited access and a short window to make a final color decision. So instead of our usual process, I ordered these samples ahead of time so we can walk in prepared with strong, intentional options.

Typically, color consultations are more of a process. I meet clients in their space, we talk through their vision, look at fixed elements like countertops and flooring, and narrow things down together. From there, I’ll order a few Samplize swatches and we refine until it feels just right.

But sometimes, it’s about adapting—doing the prep work upfront so we can still make a confident decision, even on a tight timeline.

🔥 Another transformation we’re proud of! 🔥

This Durham kitchen was in rough shape when we arrived—these MDF cabinets had been poorly painted and needed extensive stripping just to get back to a workable surface.

Our team put in the time and craftsmanship to carefully sand everything back down, smooth out the original finish, and bring these cabinets back to life. This one took a lot of elbow grease, but that’s where the magic happens.

And per the homeowner’s request, we went the extra mile and finished the cabinet interiors as well—something we typically reserve for glass cabinets only.

The result? A fully refreshed kitchen that looks clean, cohesive, and professionally done from the inside out.

As we always say—the final result is only as good as the prep. 💪
