As we begin closing out another season, our hearts are full of gratitude. This time of year, for us, is always full of reflection. We look back over the past 3-4 months and remember things that worked or didn’t work, things we accomplished, and things we still need to perfect. We carry that knowledge with us into the next season to keep us growing in the right direction- both figuratively & literally! But through all of that reflection, there is always a steady feeling of gratitude. We are grateful for another successful season and the opportunity to do it again next year. Grateful for the support from our customers, community & our employees. This is the part of the agriculture industry that we work so hard for…this feeling of accomplishment at the end…the achievement & sense of pride seeing empty greenhouses after working so hard to clear them and knowing we did well enough to try it again another year. We know this point can’t be reached without the dedication and hard-work of a team working in sync, each person doing their part to keep everything moving forward.
Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank a very important part of that team: our office manager & chaos-coordinator, Onaida.
To most people, she’s the voice on the phone, the one answering questions, handling paperwork, scheduling deliveries, and somehow keeping all the moving pieces together. She is the reason your deliveries get lined up and your orders get sent out to the pulling-teams. But to us, she is so much more than that. She is steady, dependable, hardworking, caring, cat-loving, and genuinely- a blessing to our family every single day.
Running a business — especially during our busy season — can often feel overwhelming and nonstop. But God always provides the right people at the right time to help us through each season and we truly believe Onaida was one of those people for us. After being with us for more than 15 years now, we have grown to love & depend on her greatly. Her patience, dedication, kindness, and willingness to serve others make her easy to love.
We are incredibly thankful for her long days- staying late to invoice every order and route every truck. Her dedication to make sure all of the little details are taken care of and everything is lined up for the next day. For her kind heart and easy-going spirit when it comes to interacting with customers & co-workers. For her patience & welcoming-spirit when training other office staff. And especially for the way she represents our company with professionalism and grace.
Thank you, Onaida, for all that you do and for the amazing woman that you are. We appreciate you more than words can say.
❤️“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”
