Next project: The south end of Rocking Chair garden. Never was weeded this year, but there are actually stairs and the beginning of a timber wall. Have some tulip bulbs in there I will transplant and then building will begin :)

Dad's wild Rosebush. Hasn't been pruned and it's huge. Hoping to prune it next year.

And the rest of Susan's Hostas we planted along the north side of the house for the winter. They should do well there, and then, we will transplant them into other gardens next year :)

My 8 yr old Pear tree is so loaded with fruit that the branches are bending down. Almost ready to pick :)

Rain Gutter Garden: All plants in, landscaping edging that I got from Dad is all in. 10 bags of topsoil to finish it off for the winter. I might still put some landscaping fabric under the rain guard and over the grass, and put stone over it to hold through the winter. Glad to have this done :)

Planned out the garden. Planted hostas, some turtle heads, and a garden phlox. More of Susan's hostas to be added. Looking to the north from the front to the west-side of the house.

I know it's been some time since I've posted. Thanks to Susan, We've been working on our new Hosta garden. From the front steps west to the septic silos.

One of my summer projects is to make a better pathway to the front step. They are so dangerous now.

We had a new septic system put in last fall. Wally didn't squish all the bulbs that were planted at the side of the yard with his machinery. We have seeded the front yard twice so far. Waiting for warmer weather and some more rain for it to grow.

This just looks like a pile of leaves, but a month from now we will have a glorious crop of MayApples. Watch this space ...
