Got empty boxes?!? We need ‘em! Plant season gets fully underway this weekend and we are very low on boxes to send plants home in. If you have any clean boxes you don’t need, please drop them at the store.

We know everyone is eager to start their spring planting. But please keep in mind that according to the Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia, the last frost date for our area is usually between April 10 and April 21.
If you plant tender annuals and veggies and the temps drop below 45-50, you may be damaging them or stunting their growth. If there is a frost, it may kill them. So if you are someone who is willing to baby their plants by carrying them in or covering them up when the temps drop below 50, you will be fine. If you, like me, are a lazy gardener, wait another 2-3 weeks before you plant.

It’s almost time to hunt Easter eggs! The Westover Egg Hunt is TODAY, SATURDAY, APRIL 4 at Cardinal Elementary, starting at 10:30am. There will be three age groups: Under 2, 3-5, and 6-8. Hope to see you there!
