☀ Summer has arrived at WPNR! ☀ Join us starting NEXT WEEK for fun in the sun!

📖 First up, on Tuesday (6/9), come on in for the first Sit Spots in Nature day of the summer! Stop in the barn and get your own nature journal and then head out with one of our naturalists to find your own special spot to log, write, and draw what inspires you in nature! Hikes will be from 10:30-11:30 am OR 1:00-2:00 pm. Free, no registration required, and all ages welcome! Come back the 2nd Tuesday of each month to fill up your journal! (attending each month not required-come when you can! 🙂)

💧🌱Next, a true favorite, Friday (6/12) is the return of MUD DAY! Stop in any time between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm for mud kitchen surprises, muddy art and make-and-takes, muddy critter exploration, and MORE! Free for all ages, no registration is required.

A job we finished recently. A long time customer called the nursery this early spring and told our designer that over the winter the 🦌 made his trees look like “pen*ses” 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. They did not want small trees and wait for them to provide privacy all over again.

We replaced their 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ trees (Emerald Green Arborvitae’s) with 12-14’ Green Giant Arborvitae’s a much more deer resistant species, topped off the job with a bed of large spring blooming fragrant yet 🦌 resistant viburnums which would also give them some beautiful fall color as well as berries for the birds, installed black slate ground cover and a couple boulders to match the rest of their landscape. We also gave them advice on how to protect the new trees “just in case” from the ever evolving 🦌 population.

We are always excited to share what our work crew can accomplish in a short amount of time. They finished off a nice 1 1/2 day job today. They installed a French drain to eliminate a water issue, 25 Techny Arborvitae to help with privacy issues and a gorgeous, nice sized birch tree! What can our amazing crew do for you?

A customer shared this picture with us today and titled it “RUN! Looks like another DG is coming!”. We can’t do anything about DG, a new housing plan or anything else that is driving deer to your home, but we can guide you to deer “resistant” plants. Yay!!! Kousa Dogwoods are starting to bloom!!! If you are wanting a little later spring blooming tree (which doesn’t disappoint you because it loses its flowers to frost) you will definitely want to come check these out. Their flowers are magnificent and long lasting. Quantities are limited. Why procrastinate?
We are open 9-6 Friday, 9-5 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday. Closed Monday for Memorial Day.
