I could hardly agree more with this article.

Architectural designer Marshall Ford, who grew up in Cayucos, says downtown San Luis Obispo is in danger of losing its unique character. Instead of mimicking historic architectural styles, SLO should try blending old and new.

I think often people assume that the big, expensive projects are the most satisfying professionally, and there is something to that I suppose, but getting this video from a client who wanted me to know how happy they were with the finished results of their quite small kitchen remodel just made a whole week of challenges all better.
