Why Drafty Windows Can Raise Your Energy Bills

Ever notice cold air near your windows on a windy day? In this short video, David Kalec, owner of Remod Exteriors, explains how drafty or older builder-grade windows can allow outside air to leak into your home, forcing your heating and cooling system to work harder. The Arvada Economic Development Association is offering an Exterior Improvement Grant of up to $15,000 (50/50 match) for qualifying commercial exterior upgrades.

As proud Arvada residents, Remod Exteriors is excited to support local businesses taking advantage of this program. We can help with exterior painting, siding, and window projects and are happy to review your plans to see if they align with the grant.

Businesses can now apply for Arvada Economic Development Association's Exterior Improvement Grant opportunity! Owner-occupied commercial real estate or business tenants (with property owner approval) can receive up to $15,000 per property through this 50/50 matching grant, requiring applicants to fund half of the project cost. Apply via their website by Monday, March 16. This competitive grant supports impactful exterior property improvements completed within the past year or planned before summer 2027. Awards will be announced in April.
