Old Piece New Again I take old pieces and make them new again. Whether it's a piece of furniture, or something else, I'll create something new for it. Don't throw it out! Up-cycle!

I refinish old pieces of furniture using the latest painting techniques, including a type of "Chalk Paint" and stain or a combination of the two. Up-Cycling saves the planet. Recycyle. I've started another project for my neighbor Brenda. It's going in her family room on a large wall she has and her TV will sit on top of it. She wants is rustic looking with colors to match her room. I started by painting the whole thing with a good primer. Then, with 2 coats of yellow (ugh!), and 2 coats of Tuscan Red. After roughing it up a bit to show bits of yellow and put the final coats of top seal on it, it will be gorgeous in her spot! Here are some pics of the piece in yellow I will add the after as soon as I'm done.

And here's the finished product. Shabby chic shelf using an old wooden shutter & brackets for the shelf.
