I am on a water break and had to share this tool. I do not have any association with this brand or store where I got it... Ocean State Job Lot! I am sharing because if you do not have this tool YOU ARE WORKING TO HARD! After fracturing my wrist I figured my pruning days were not going to be so pleasant so power pruners to the rescue. Honestly, do not wait for a reason. These are amazing. I'm sure there are other brands out there but these do the job and I am still on the first charge! I would have loved to let all these lupine go to seed but we are looking for a little more tidy garden this year! Countdown to wedding events!

It's a clearing paths kind of day around here. This means pulling up runners from our Diervilla, Northern Bush Honeysuckle! Oh, I love this plant! A few years ago I transplanted a small clump of runners near the road (picture with the house in background) and it has grown into a beautiful mound. This is a dwarf variety and stays around this size. The mother plant is planted close to a small path and needs tending every year. Having a bucket of water nearby and the runners pull up easily (no digging required!). I will pot these up later and post when they are available at the cart. A tough, native shrub!

'Major Wheeler' (Lonicera sempervirens) is putting on a show right now! If you are looking to bring in the hummingbirds, here is the answer. 'Major Wheeler' is an award-winning, non-invasive cultivar of the native North American coral honeysuckle. The last three photos are more true to color. When I can find the time to propagate, you bet I will have some of these available at the cart!

Hello Sunny Saturday! 🌞 The cart is OPEN! Spotlight on one of my favorites for foliage...‘Red Umbrellas’ is a compact, hybrid selection of meadowsweet that features lobed, toothed, lime green leaves with contrasting dark maroon venation. Airy sprays of soft pink blooms are held above the foliage clumps on upright stems from mid-summer to early fall. Mature plants will reach up to 2.5’ tall and spread to fill a 2’ area. I just added a division to the cart. (On the counter) I've had this baby in the pot for over a week so I know it is happy and good to go!
