Ta-daaaa 🌟 here’s the finished space ✨

The big reveal of our behind-the-scenes post from yesterday - there are so many design choices to love about this bathroom, and we love bringing visions to life while ensuring longevity with our install methods

The shower floor is marble, and just like concrete tile, natural stone asks for a little extra care. Proper sealing and the right prep make all the difference in how it holds up to daily use, moisture, and time. It’s not just about keeping it pretty—it’s about protecting the investment.

One of our favorite details is the niche. That diagonal-set tile in the back is having a big moment right now, and we love how it adds texture and interest without overpowering the space. Trendy, yes—but thoughtfully placed so it still feels timeless.

This project is a good example of what we love most about our work: pairing beautiful materials with the behind-the-scenes steps that help them last. When the planning, prep, and ex*****on all line up, the result is a space that looks good and lives well.

A little behind-the-scenes on a bathroom we just wrapped that has so much to love!

These patterned concrete tiles feel like an art installation—rugged, graphic, and full of character. But concrete tile is also one of those materials that asks a lot of the installer. It’s porous, sensitive to moisture, and unforgiving if you rush the prep or skip steps.

That’s why you’re seeing things here that never make it into the final photos—but what’s under the tile matters just as much as what you can see.

We pre-sealed the tile before it ever touched grout, followed manufacturer specs for impregnator sealers, and prepped the floor specifically for epoxy grout. None of this is flashy—but it’s what protects the surface, keeps stains from setting in, and makes everyday cleaning easier down the road.

You’ll also spot the heat wire layout beneath the floor. That extra planning shows up later as warm toes on cold winter mornings, a floor that feels inviting instead of shocking, and a bathroom that stays cozy long after the shower steam fades. It’s the kind of comfort you don’t always think to ask for—but once you have it, you feel it every single day. Sooo worth it 🥰

Concrete tile done right takes more planning, more patience, and more respect for the material. We’re okay with that. When you’re investing in a space you’ll live in every day, the details you don’t see matter just as much as the ones you do.

Handmade tiles are a favorite around here—and for good reason. Each one is a tiny piece of art. 🎨 But here’s the thing: when your materials are this special, the install matters just as much as the making of the tiles. A sloppy job can undo months of an artist’s work.

That’s why Scott’s been treating this backsplash like the masterpiece it is—careful cuts, precise spacing, slow-and-steady progress.
