Wilmington never disappoints.

I had such a wonderful opening at the brand new Cathryn O’Donnell Gallery. So many people came out to the gallery crawl! I’m grateful for all of the conversations, support, and new connections.
I was also lucky to be in town for a painting workshop with the amazing Melinda Cootsona. I had the best time learning, painting, and meeting more wonderful artists along the way!
While I was there, I painted Near Kin: Cousins—near in blood, near in spirit. The same land, the same stories, the same way of looking out at the world. Not quite sisters, but something just as lasting.

Feeling very thankful for this past weekend, for new friendships, and for the chance to share my work.

A new season, a new decade, new headshots, and a lot of gratitude!

Thank you to the talented Sarah DeShields/ Enowen Photography for capturing these images so beautifully. Being photographed can feel so vulnerable, but she made the whole experience feel easy and natural. I am obsessed with her work!

I’m also excited to share that I’ll be part of the Storytellers Exhibition at the Cathryn O’Donnell Gallery in Wilmington, NC during the month of April! Storytelling is such an important part of my work, and this show feels like a perfect fit. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon about the paintings that will be included!

Thank you for following along with me here!

I’m honored to share that I’m a featured Spotlight Artist at Cathryn O’Donnell Gallery in downtown Wilmington.
This show is themed Storytellers, and that word feels like home to me—because painting is how I hold memory, make sense of where I come from, and listen for what still wants to be said. I love the idea of a gallery full of voices, each one telling the truth in a different way: through color, gesture, silence, and the spaces in between.
If you’re nearby, come spend some time with the work at the Fourth Friday receptions (3/27 and 4/24, 6–9pm). The show closes April 26. I’d love to see you there. 💛

A Conversation between the Echo and the Origin — a diptych about rupture and repair carried through sound.
One panel honors the banjo’s African origin. The other holds a girl as listener and receiver—an echo shaped by what came before. A subtle actual thread runs through both: quiet mending, quiet connection.
On view at Thornback Gallery, Greenville, SC in the exhibition Fractures and Repair.
Opening night tomorrow. 🪕🧵✨

My little painting (8x8) I've Endured is headed all the way to the Small Works Exhibition at Jag Gallery in Key West! Oh how I wish I could be there with her! She is unapologetically Appalachian-fierce, steady and inspired by Ola Belle's I've Endured. If you are in Key West, go say hello for me!

My painting, My Home Is Across The Blue Ridge Mountains, has been accepted into the 46th Annual National Juried Art Show (Arts Council of Wayne County) in Goldsboro! This piece represents my deep love of playing the banjo and old time music and the deep connection it gives me to my roots in the Blue Ridge.

Goldsboro is charming, cool and Vibrant! I can't wait to go back for the opening reception on October 3rd and explore more of this pocket of Eastern NC.

The exhibition runs from October 3-October 31st!
