Getting my climb saw ready for tomorrow. 24” bar installed, 36” bar at the ready. We’re removing a large, dead white oak behind a house, utilizing a crane.

We did some light duty work this week, which is a nice change of pace from the large removals that have been filling the schedule. Our customer purchased this home a few months ago and has noticed a large, dead pine tree threatening the left side of the house. We mitigated this by removing the pine tree, and increased clearance around the home and power lines in the yard.

Here are some pictures of the Blue Ridge Arbor Works crew doing what we do best! This large Red Oak in Kenilworth was declining and had had notable rot throughout. Detail oriented, technical, low impact tree work is our bread and butter.

Here’s a quick clip of climber Sam Carlin air mailing a top from a short leaf pine. This tree had significant trunk and base decay and was removed to mitigate risk to the shed, driveway, and power lines.

We’ve been a bit absent on social media lately, but that’s because we’ve been busy working on your trees! Here are a few pictures of a large white oak removal at the end of June. This tree in Kenilworth had notable base decay and was stretched out over a house and some wires. It was a long day but everything went smoothly. Call us for a feee estimate! 828-747-1634

I’m doing my best impression of a PNW logger today, working in the rain and felling dead ash trees into the woods. Not to brag too much, but these two plunge cuts are pretty close to perfect! 5 down and six left to go today.

Rain days are for office work and sales calls. Muck boots, a good rain jacket, and Rite in the Rain notebooks are necessary tools. Of course a good sales dog to ride along is always appreciated.

We have a new toy! It’s a brand new Vermeer CTX 100. Diesel and hydraulics can lift more than muscle power, and will allow us to get more work done.
