Ikebana Floral Arranging x ✨

This workshop includes:
• an East Fork ice cream bowl in a brand new color
• a flower frog (used for Ikebana style arranging)
• a supportive and encouraging space to explore your creative expression through floral design - facilitated by the Green Room team (Sami & Dara)
• an educational experience where you will gain a deeper understanding of the history and art form of Ikebana
• and of course, your selection of blooms from a flower bar curated to compliment East Fork’s new color release

Brb daydreaming about these incredible pieces from Art in Bloom 🥹 we had the best time and are feeling so so inspired by these intricate, intentional, and beautifully temporary works of art. Some pieces coordinated with art in the museum and other pieces were inspired by signs of the Zodiac - with Cancer, Aquarius, Ta**us and Capricorn being amongst our favorites!! Hoping these pictures do some justice to how stunning these were to see in person 🫠 until next year ~

We’re thrilled to let y’all know we will be going to ART IN BLOOM this weekend as a team!! Art in Bloom is a 5-day exhibition featuring floral designers across NC and beyond who interpret art at the museum into their own sculptural floral works of art. Hours this weekend will be normal except CLOSED SUNDAY 3/22. We’ll miss you but we’re so excited to be soaking up the brilliance of these florists and returning even more inspired 🌷💗

From fake AI plants to AI generated promotional content in the plant world - AI has no place in this industry. We yearn for work that has heart, soul, and intention and hours of work put in, something that AI shortcuts could never provide.

Love and solidarity to all who successfully advocated for a 12-month moratorium on the development of a data center in Canton, NC - a development which would strain our water and power resources, increase noise and light pollution, and ultimately not be of benefit to the ecosystem or community.

It can feel like these developments are going to happen no matter what since the people expanding the AI industry are ultra powerful billionaire freaks, but we can look behind us to progressive movements in history for the blueprint to overcome the seemingly impossible. We can dream of a world that serves the people first.

No data centers in WNC. No AI in art. No AI at the Green Room Plant Shop, ever ❤️‍🔥
