🌿 GREENLEAF PLANT LIBRARY — LIVE SHOPPING LOGISTICS! 🌿

We’re officially getting ready to take you plant shopping with us LIVE this Saturday( Tomorrow ) at 11 AM from Gritt’s Midway Greenhouse! 🪴🛒

The LIVE will be hosted from my personal page, Heidi Greenleaf and we’ll drop the direct link right here on the Greenleaf Plant Library page so everyone can easily join in!

📱 BACKUP PLAN:
Because greenhouse cellular service can sometimes be unpredictable, if we aren’t able to successfully proceed with the LIVE, don’t worry — the sale is still happening!

We will photograph each available plant and post them individually here on the page with information including the plant identification and cost. Once the shopping event has concluded, those individual sale posts will be made private so we can close out all remaining orders.

🌱 HOW TO CLAIM A PLANT

During the LIVE and/or on the individual photographed plant posts, please comment:

• Plant name
• Your Cash App tag
• Quantity you would like

💵 PAYMENT

Cash App will be the only accepted payment method for this event to ensure simplicity and provide for a single transaction at time of checkout.

Payment will need to be made promptly at the time of claiming so we can secure your plant and complete checkout with the greenhouse.

Your total will be:

🪴 Plants $25.00 and under:
Plant cost + $5.00 per plant

🪴 Plants $25.01 and up:
Plant cost + $10.00 per plant

Please ensure you are adding the right handling fee per each plant claimed as this helps cover applicable sales tax, securing your purchase, handling, and transporting your plants safely back to Greenleaf Plant Library in Ashland for pickup this weekend. 🌿

Unfortunately orders without the corresponding fee will be refunded back to your Cash App tag and we won’t be able to secure the plant you claimed.

We’re trying to make this as simple, affordable, and fun as possible while giving our Greenleaf community a chance to shop one of our favorite greenhouses right along with us! 🫶

We can’t wait to see what everybody finds!

We’ve got a few fun plants ready to hit the library, so if you’ve been waiting for something new to trade for, tomorrow might be your morning!

Just make sure to bring a comparable trade, and because these will be limited, tomorrow’s drop will be no holds and no trades before 8am 🫶

Good morning, Greenleaf community ☀️🌱

What an eventful day we had here yesterday — so many ups, a few downs, and a whole lot of love from this community. 🫶

This little plant library has already been such a beautiful reminder that life really is a rollercoaster. It isn’t always predictable, and there’s room for disappointment and joy to exist right alongside each other. We’ve always wanted to share this journey with you honestly and transparently — the exciting moments, the growing pains, and everything in between.

With that said, we’re excited to open back up today and get back to what we love most — trading plants with all of you! 🍃💚

You guys 🥹

Our community — all of you who stand behind Greenleaf Plant Library every day — is what makes this space so special and so worth continuing to share with you. 🫶

Several of our amazing new friends, along with people who simply care about this community initiative, have stopped in throughout the day just to share kind words, encouragement, and even more plants for us to pass along. We have promptly collected everything that has been brought to the stands and will get those plants safely into the greenhouse for tomorrow as Free Plant Wednesday comes to an end. 🌿

And with that said… we have some pretty uplifting news. 🥹

We recently announced a very fun event where we’ll be taking you shopping with us LIVE at our favorite greenhouse — and that very greenhouse saw our post from earlier today.

Gritt's Midway Greenhouse!! reached out to us directly with incredibly kind words and massive support for what we’re doing here at the library. 🫶 They have generously pledged a BOX OF PLANTS for us to bring back to Greenleaf Plant Library after our shopping trip to help replenish what was lost today and continue putting plants into the hands of people throughout our community who need them.

That kind of support means more than I can put into words.

Today started out discouraging, but once again this community has reminded us exactly why we keep going.

I hope we can all show Gritt’s that same love and support for their incredibly generous offer and hospitality this Saturday, September 5th at 11 AM — LIVE right here on Facebook! 🌱

They’ll be welcoming us into their greenhouse and allowing us access to their newest arrivals, giving all of us the chance to shop along, find something we love, and support a business that has so generously chosen to support our little plant community too. 🫶 ❤️

We are absolutely devastated.

Within just 17 minutes of our official opening time, we had a fully stocked greenhouse and had also received a beautiful donation that would have helped us continue offering Free Plant Wednesdays in the near future.

Unfortunately, all it took was one person waiting for that donor to leave and then taking everything at once for themselves.

That is not how this community operates. It was selfish, unfair to everyone else, and incredibly discouraging to the people who have donated their time, plants, and support to make this possible.

Please remember: there is a camera directly at the greenhouse, we do see what happens here, and this is still private property. We will not allow anyone to take advantage of this space or of the generosity of our community.

Greenleaf is built on kindness, sharing, and respect. We are asking everyone who visits to honor that. 🫶

It’s almost time! FREE PLANT WEDNESDAY is ON! 🪴

Please just be courteous of one another. We ask that you limit yourself to one plant per person so as many people as possible get the chance to take something home. 🫶

Parking is limited to one car at a time in the spot directly beside the greenhouse. Please do not park in our neighbor’s driveway — if the spot is occupied, just give them a few minutes to finish up before pulling in.

We appreciate every single person who has become a part of this journey with us, whether you’ve donated, traded, shared our posts, stopped by, or simply cheered us on.

Tomorrow is FREE PLANT WEDNESDAY!! 🪴

We’ve had such an abundance of donations come in from our new friend Kim and her husband, Rachel and her dad, and so many others who have stopped by to share beautiful plants with the community. 🫶

Thanks to all of you, the library is stocked enough for us to offer our very first FREE PLANT WEDNESDAY!

I’ll stock the greenhouse as usual, and as always, you’re still welcome to bring trades or donations if you’d like — but no trade is required tomorrow.

Once the greenhouse is empty, we’ll close up early for the day, so stop by while the plants last! 🍃

And one more special thank-you to Angie, who brought in an incredible trade for one of my regular Monsteras. With a little time to root and grow everything out, her trade is going to help us introduce several new varieties into the library for all of you to enjoy. 🫶🌿

EXCITING NEWS, GREENLEAF COMMUNITY! 🍃

We polled, you answered, and we listened! You all want to go plant shopping with us, and we are SO excited to let you know that our favorite greenhouse has given us permission to take you along! 🫶

THIS Saturday at 11:00 AM, we’ll be LIVE from their indoor plant greenhouse — and even better, they have a fresh truck coming in! 🪴

We’ll take you through the greenhouse, show you the selection, show you the prices live, and YES… you already know I’m going to look at absolutely everything. 😂

See something you have to have? Claim it during the live by commenting the name of the plant, the quantity you want, and your Cash App tag! Once we confirm your claim, send payment to our Cash App right away so we can mark it paid and tag your plant.

Plants under $25: plant price + $5 to cover applicable sales tax and our handling fee.
Plants $25 and over: plant price + $10 to cover applicable sales tax and our handling fee.

Once payment is received, we’ll tag your plant with your name, keep track of your purchase, check everything out together in one transaction, and haul your new houseplants back to the Greenleaf Plant Library in Ashland for pickup over the weekend. 🍃🪴

We are ridiculously excited to try this with you guys. Come plant shopping with us Saturday at 11! 🫶
