We have been really showcasing the carving details on our granite fountains in several recent projects (by using 3Watt Warm White LED lights in the centerpiece bowls and 9Watt LED lights in the pools.) And when there are significant lighting details on the home behind it as well, as you can see - it creates a very inviting oasis when guests drive up to the house at night!

This is a very ornately carved fountain that we did for Jackson Healthcare down in Alpharetta GA back in 2019, carved of solid hand-carved Cabo Sands Granite. (We also did a couple of very large relief carved white marble statues for the interior of one of their buildings as well.)

After they installed a marble fountain in an older part of their campus years prior (and having it fail pretty quickly in their 7B Growing zone) - they decided that having a failsafe & easy care granite fountain would be the best idea for their amazing new Campus Addition, and we think it turned out AMAZING!

Sometimes there's a story to our projects, and this one is very cute....
In Manitowoc WI there is a much beloved Dance teacher named Jean Wolfmeyer, who worked with many students during her 60 years teaching there. (And her husband Sandy was also involved in taking care of the logistical side of the dance business as well.)
So, a couple years ago, many of her prior students got together and decided to donate to a fund to recognize Jean & Sandy's Lifetime commitment to the dancers in their area, as teachers who cared for and impacted their students with good values and encouraged them to become a part of their city through their many performances. So, that's how this particular fountain project started - and we think it's so beautiful!!

I'm sure you may not want to think about it yet... (Or, maybe Pumpkin Spice Latte's and Football is your jam?) But, colder weather will soon be here! So, unless you have a granite fountain - you better get going on cleaning your porous stone fountain, and getting it dry / covered at least 2 weeks before freezing weather arrives!

Or, if you have a granite fountain, you can enjoy your fountain a bit longer than the porous stone options - even getting some early morning icicle displays like these! But, please remember (before things freeze solid completely) to pull all your drain plugs for all the tiers of your fountain, drain your pool and bring in your pump for cleaning/safe keeping indoors for the winter.

And for your viewing enjoyment - please check out this fountain that was on display at our showroom for many years. As you can see in the photos (and in this later video - https://youtu.be/ZfZsJbo7fJI ) how the showroom behind it was changing greatly - and the fountain itself was never affected by all it's spectacular icicle displays over the years...

And in the end, it retired to it's "final destination" in Sunny Florida - what a lucky fountain! Have a great weekend everyone!

Here is a fountain / bench / table install which occurred yesterday at a local business. The concept for the fountain was that it's a global business (thus why the customer asked to have the absolute black granite globe at the top) and the business logo included a very angular lion face, which we incorporated into the (3) spitter locations on the fountain. The fountain and curved benches are carved of Charcoal Grey Granite, while the table sets are carved of Light Charcoal Grey Granite.

Check out this video if you want to see how our installers put in a granite pool surround, to make a fountain that will last generations! (This shows 5 hours worth of work in only 37 seconds...)
Essentially they epoxy the granite curb sections to the concrete fountain pool floor. Then, they insert pool caulk in the 1/4" seams between curb sections and the concrete floor, and 24 hours later (depending on temperature that day) - you can fill the fountain up and get it started right away!
