🪕 This is The Frankie 🪕

Named for its now owner, The Frankie is made completely of solid black walnut hardwood. I wanted the cuts of wood with the most personality to be front and featured and honestly a picture doesn’t do them justice. The Frankie can hold records both top and bottom, letting you flip through them giving you a true record store feel.

Some days I’m frustrated I don’t have a more permanent shop inside with more space. But on days like this weekend, working in the backyard watching spring take over our yard while the whole family is outside, makes me so grateful.

I’ve never really slowed down and watched spring before. I think it might be my new favorite season. It’s so grounding to see the start of a new season that represents the transitioning of life and the bringing of beauty and sun.

I’m making my most daunting and challenging piece ever but making it in nature with the birds chirping and the flowers blooming, makes it a totally different experience.

Made these shelves from some old school skis that underneath their paint had some beautiful wood. This has me totally hooked on repurposing old peices into something new!

You don’t want your chocolate covered strawberries sitting on a paper plate this Valentine’s Day do you? These are beautiful walnut boards and the grain is so unique on each one. I only made one of each, so first come first cheese!

Had a lot of fun making this for Hunter Hollis. More importantly, learned a TON. Like that walnut veneer is pretty but unforgiving. This is my second record player stand and I can’t wait to make more!
