April Showers Bring May Flowers. Are you ready for some gardening? With the price of cedar so high, granite now seems competitive, plus it won’t rot. Ever. We have curbing remnants in several sizes. 16x32” for $60 each. 12x36” for $45 each, and 12x24” for $29 each. Some qty’s limited. Al’s have some of last years 7” tall garden edging seconds for $8 per linear foot. We mostly have manageable 4 footers, so you can’t go wrong for a permanent edging using granite. Open Saturday 8-2.

Rainy Day yard tour, this time from Main Street in Amherst, Mass. Did you know that yours truly owned Dorsey Memorials, a full service monument shop. We serve western and southern Mass, plus northern Connecticut. Open six days a week, with a very experienced store manager; he also does the cemetery lettering for us down that way. If you are in the need for a memorial product out that way, please stop in.

Friday afternoon job-site tour. We have north of ten thousand feet of custom milled Alaskan Yellow Cedar siding on this cool building, as well as about 60 pieces of reclaimed Western Red Cedar logs/stumps that we hand ground to a smooth finish. They are now seating and a cool set of hopscotch steppers. Oh wait: time-out! A bunny rabbit photo-bombed my video! Crazy. Anyways, it’s always great to be able to see our work on display to the public. (Or will be soon, when the job is complete). It’s 10 Western Ave, Boston. Have a great day folks.

Methinks that Western Red Cedar 2x6’s have pushed themselves out of the budget for most folks. They come from British Colombia, so that means tariffs and lots of diesel fuel to get here. How about we go for value this year. I have some WRC, bought before all this nonsense, and it is a great value. It’s rough one side and graded to have a decent face and two corners. The back side can be extremely funky, be we like to joke: “the dirt in your garden bed will never complain!” Just put the better side facing out.
We have a limited supply of 1x6”x8’ for $20 each, and gobs of 1x4’s for just a dollar a linear foot. We have 6’ through 12’ in the 1x4’s. We had a busy day today, so plan ahead for your 1x6’s, as they will likely sell out in a week or two. Have a great weekend.

Hopefully this is the last weekend with temps in the 20’s, check out our Cottage Grade 1x6 Vee groove and our 8” clapboards. Both are just a buck a foot when you buy in wholesale packs. Part of the Spring cleaning has been so we can show off our 20 plus thousand square feet of high end Porcelain Pavers. Six colors to choose from, many in large format sizes.
