I keep alternating between missed waterings and light-stressing these since they moved into the new large tent. Once they bounce back from my negligence, it’s game over. I’m hopeful for some hybrids with these over winter.

but actually just reminding you to please vote in the upcoming general primary elections. Just to name a few… Governor, Secretary of State, Senate seats, Attorney Generals, COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE (for all of you plant peeps or medicinal friends, read the next paragraph) all play significant parts in deciding things that quite literally affect your daily life…

I won’t go too deep but it’s so much more than the purposefully divisive red versus blue, liberal versus democratic versus republican… your autonomy, the accessibility of organic alternatives over overcharged/overly chemical pharmaceuticals, restorative and forward-thinking urban gardening and minority-owned farm funding, the incorporation of locally-grown food in public schools that help create localized food systems that in turn help combat food insecurity, and literally so much more...

Happy but don’t forget to think outside of your garden and out towards your community.

I just realized I haven’t shown my literal favorite plant on here yet this year. Meet one of my mama plants. The light of my life, the easiest I’ve probably ever grown or owned. The unproblematic favorite of all time… you get it. This beauty can tolerate a little neglect, isn’t too fussy when it comes to medium light, and is almost never in a super humid environment… yet still blows me away with the constant new foliage.
