What a surprise I found this evening.

Tomato Love. Dave

A few of the slicer tomatoes I grow. They are not in any specific order. I will be sharing others soon. I'd like to call out Benevento which is a relatively new variety released from .seeds. A red beefsteak with yellow stripes. Like all of the Artisan varieties, the flavor is very good in addition to its ability to hold on the vine giving you more of a harvesting window. I plan to have plants for you this next spring as part of the plant sale.

The Zinnias are magnificent at the Auburn Golden Gardeners Community Garden. But look what showed up, a sphinx moth. It is NOT the moth of the Tomato horn worm, though they are both types of Sphinx moths. It is a white-lined Sphinx. Do NOT kill. For that matter, I don't kill tomato horn worm moths. Their small caterpillars are food for our native wasps.

Holiday Get together and Seed Exchange

Hello Auburn community. We had a great turnout on Friday for our annual holiday get together. Good food, good times and having Greg Gayton from Green Acres Nursery & Supply as our speaker and honorary member of AGG is always a treat.

Any guesses for how many pounds of sweet potatoes were in that one 20 gal grow pot? Leave your guesses below.
