🌿🍅 Kent East Hill vs. Covington Creek Whiskey/Wine Barrel Garden Challenge – Week 2 Update! 🍅🌿

The competition is officially underway!
It's been just over two weeks since planting on May 24th, and our Covington Creek Nursery Whiskey Barrel Garden is showing some impressive growth. The star of the show so far is our tomato plant, which has already reached approximately 26 inches tall and is beginning to develop flower clusters that will soon turn into summer harvests.

📏 Progress Update (May 24 – June 8)

✅ Tomato plant has grown to approximately 26 inches tall
✅ Flower clusters beginning to form
✅ Herbs are actively filling in and establishing
✅ Companion flowers are blooming beautifully
✅ Plants are healthy, vigorous, and settling into their summer growth cycle

This challenge was created to compare different growing methods and products between Covington Creek Nursery and Kent East Hill Nursery throughout the growing season. We'll be tracking plant growth, overall health, flowering, fruit production, and harvest yields all summer long.

Things are heating up in the garden challenge between Covington Creek Nursery and Kent East Hill Nursery 🌱🏆

Our whiskey barrel planter is off to an amazing start, and the plants are loving the combination of premium EB Stone products we used to get them growing strong and healthy! 💪🌿

In our challenge planter we have: 🌼 4 Bonanza Harmony Marigolds
🌿 2 Whirlybird Mix Nasturtiums
🍅 1 Early Girl Tomato
🌱 Curly Parsley
🌿 French Thyme
🌿 Garlic Chives
🌿 Italian Oregano
🌿 Columnar Greek Basil

🌱 EB Stone Organics Sure Start
🍅 EB Stone Tomato & Vegetable Food

Everything was planted in one of our whiskey barrels with bamboo U-trellises, and so far the growth has been incredible! 👀

Now the big question is…
Who’s going to grow the biggest and best-looking planter this season? 😄

Challenge accepted, Kent East Hill Nursery! 🌱🏆

Covington Creek Nursery is officially stepping into the “Who can grow the biggest plant?” challenge — and we’re feeling pretty confident about this one.
