Oh look, rain!!!! 👏🏻🫶🏻👏🏻

I've refrained from any lawn advertising due to the extreme drought but yes I am accepting new lawn customers. I am Auburndale based and service most of polk county. I offer dependable, quality services at affordable rates. Yes I am 100% licensed and insured and have zero issues providing proof if need be. I service both residential and commercial properties so businesses, that means you too! As we head closer and closer to storm season I will say that now is the time to prepare yourselves. To all the new folks, the toilet paper and water go fast!!! (iykyk)🙄🤦🏻🙈 Canned goods and non perishable items are essential as well as a good generator.(Harbor freight has plenty.) You can stabilize fuel to last for months so you don't have to pay crazy prices or wait in 5 hour lines. If you keep a few cans full it will last about a week so keep that in mind. Also, we don't panic until Waffle house, Circle K and Dollar General close. That's when we know it's official, we have said our prayers and accepted the fate that is about to be given to us.

It's what comes after that's a real thing of beauty. Everyone's outside helping each other, fires are burning and people are cooking up meals and feeding everyone they can. Goods are shared and people come together in ways our great grandparents can be proud of. Power is out, phone service is out, internet is out, (except for Star Link) and all you hear is laughter, saws running and someones muffler flapping on their generator three streets down. Until all the roads are clear and the power is back on you will see guys like me working our fingers to the bone to help our communities get back on line. Some of us live for this time of year and I happen to be one of those who do. I appreciate everyone I've had the opportunity to do business for in the past storm seasons and I'm here for all of you this coming one. I will have trailers and equipment on standby to assist in any cleanups or removals so please do not hesitate to reach out in the event you need such services.

Oh and remember to use messenger while cell service is down or the two way walkie talkie apps work great as well.👌🏻

Today would be the day to have such a wholesome moment with some of the nicest people. ☺️

While packing up my customer approached me and said she was very surprised to see me working all day. She figured I would have stopped at some point to spend some time with my mother. That's when I kindly told her my mother is somewhere up there in the clouds and being out amongst them is as close to spending time with her that I'm gonna get so that's why I came and worked all day. Before she could even respond to what I said her mother come sneaking around the corner from the backyard and she quickly started to explain that she's going through the early stages of dementia and was apologizing for her. I kindly stopped her and explained that I watched my grandmother go through the same thing and there's no need to apologize. I told her she came out yesterday and started sweeping the pool deck while they were at graduation but I helped her back inside because I didn't want her getting hurt and it was dangerously hot out. I assured her it was ok, I'm pretty familiar with it and how to handle it so she's by no means a bother and she's safe as long as I'm around.

At a ripe 91 years old, she had come to ask us if she could let the dogs out but hadn't remembered they were just out moments before. Her daughter tells her they had just been out and she looks at me with the quickness and goes "this is what happens when you take a country girl like me and let her marry someone from a big city." She went to huffing and puffing and finished with "I used to let the dogs out wherever I want to but no......🙄" Man, I bout died y'all!😆 At this point my customer is just standing there shaking her head and smiling because she was being so serious and we both were trying not to laugh. They went to walk inside and she stops once more to tell me that she got called in one day as a guest speaker to some college up in Georgia. She's smiles and says "you know, It went great all the way up until the end when the professor said they're gonna have to do something about my Georgia accent." I chuckled and said "I can understand you just fine, those the type of folks you just gotta put a little extra butter on their toast or biscuits and let God sort them out."😂

The laugh I heard come out of this woman as she went inside y'all was absolute gold! It came straight from her toes and the feeling I got getting into my truck to leave was everything I needed today. 🙏🏻👌🏻😉

It's been over 10 years without my mother but the way she always manages to show up, is something I can't explain. When you wait all day for that sign and you finally get it, it warms the heart and soothes the soul.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there this evening and to all the mothers like mine up in the clouds.. we see you, we love you, we hear you and we miss you. 🫶🏻

Out of the hundreds of jobs that I have done over the last 4 years, this one will forever leave its mark.

(In a positive way I promise)

I'm going to learn from this job and grow from it because no this was not easy and I can sit right here and admit that it humbled me in more ways than one. I put everything I had into this and truthfully I feel that it shows.

What you see here is a mixture of hard work, dedication, grace, humility, compassion and most of all patience from both sides. Teamwork really does make the dream work.

To some this is just a job but to me it will serve as a lifetime reminder that through Christ I am capable of anything.
