DIY Tip Of The Week: when painting, especially with walls, give yourself time to check your paint coverage in multiple lights. Paint looks different as the sun hits it’s various angles throughout the day. Save yourself a lot of heartache weeks done the line when you’re looking at your handiwork and having to touch up every time you notice another ghosty spot. Before you call a job done make sure you check on it at least 3 different times of the day before you call your paint job done!🖌

It should be noted that while I’m new to real estate, home improvement and DIY projects are my old friends. That said, here’s your 🛠Add value to your home by reshaping your unused spaces. Have a weird somewhat unusable closet or nook? Add shelves and a cute chair to create a “reading corner”. Can a section of your attic be cornered off with an area rug and some room folding room dividers to become a play area for kids? We’re currently in the middle of rethinking our basement which is many open concrete rooms with lots of storage but no other purpose. First things first we’re putting up paneling and putting down floors in one room to become our guest room. Even one finished space in the basement adds value to our next potential buyer and plants the seeds of innovation for them as they think about how they can make money down the road. Always be thinking ahead!

Took some time to explore how spring is blooming around us on the North Country Trail! Did you know this 4,600 mile path spans from Vermont to South Dakota and happens to pass right through Augusta,MI? It’s one of my favorite parts about living in this beautiful state.
