⚠️ SCAM WARNING FOR SMALL BUSINESSES / MARKETPLACE SELLERS ⚠️

I wanted to share this so hopefully I can save someone else from dealing with it.

I recently had someone attempt to purchase from my business and they sent a FAKE payment email claiming my Cash App account needed to be “upgraded to a business account” before I could receive payment. The message stated I needed an additional payment sent in order to receive my money.

Please be aware:

🚩 Cash App does NOT require someone to send extra money to upgrade your account
🚩 Never send money to receive money
🚩 Do not call phone numbers listed in suspicious emails or texts
🚩 Do not send screenshots of your account information or transactions
🚩 Always verify payments directly inside your app/account, not through emails or screenshots

Scammers are targeting small businesses and new sellers. Please be careful and double-check everything before sending money or personal information.
