WOW. what a two days it has been.
1st I want to start off by thanking God for allowing us to do this for over 20 years and his many blessings he has given us.
2. This community is absolutely amazing. When someone we love is in their time of need we show up and pull together. What I have witnessed the last two days at our nursery is something I can not put into words. We have had probably over a thousand people come out the last two days. Thank you all so much.
3. To all the people and businesses that donated for our silent auction and raffle. Thank you all so much. Way to step up and help out. The support we got and donations we received was crazy.
4. To everyone that donated a baked good and cooked lunch thank you all so much. Our bake sale is something people talk about and come to every single year.
5. To anyone that bought a plant or flower, bought a raffle ticket, donated money or items YOU HELPED TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE. Thank you so much.
6. Cheryl Doughtie made an appearance today and that was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. We all love you Cheryl.
7. It just goes to show you how much Cheryl is loved by that amount of people that has came out and supported this event.
8. I want to thank a few other people that without them this would not be possible. My nursery workers Diane, Amy, Kim, Lacy, Dean, Damien, Rodolfo, Clarence, Ashley, Grayson, Victoria. You all handled that many people in two days like it was nothing. Thank you all so much.
9. Ally, Crystal, Paul, Jenny, Joanna, Bobby, Paula, Nellie and all the kiddos. The bake sale, raffle and lunch would not be possible without each of you giving up your time to help. Thank you all so much.

So with all that being said. I had a goal in mind and we BLEW that out. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and every year I see the community pull together and show love and support but this year was something special.

YALL SHOWED UP TODAY AND SHOWED OUT.
What an amazing turnout for Cheryl Doughtie. Let’s make tomorrow even better.
Don’t forget our famous bake sale. Buy one of our cakes or desserts for your Mother’s Day dinner. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHERYL.
Also we will be serving lunch. Selling pork chop sandwiches and hotdogs. ALL PROCEEDS GOES TO CHERYL.
So even if you don’t need flowers you can still come get a dessert, lunch or get some raffle tickets all while helping someone that deserves it so much.

🚨 ‼️ 🚨 ‼️ we have teamed up with Kristi Morgan Designs and are now taking tee shirt orders. For every tee shirt we sell Cheryl Doughtie will get $10. You can order by calling the nursery 252-209-0100, order in person at the nursery or you can order up here. Shirts MUST be paid for before order is placed.
We can take Card, Venmo or cashapp.

We will take orders until next Friday the 15th. There is a three week turnaround. All orders will need to be picked up at nursery or we will have one location in Gates County(TBD).

Tomorrow we start our raffle and silent auction. ALL PROCEEDS go to Cheryl Doughtie. You will not want to miss the opportunity at these awesome items. Even if you don’t need some flowers(which you know your mom loves 😂)
Raffle tickets 🎟️ are $10 each or (15) 🎟️ tickets for $100. Do not have to be present to win.
We will also have a few items available for silent auction.
All winners will be picked live on facebook Saturday at 2pm and contacted.

PLEASE take a look at the names that have donated. MOST of them are small businesses and people in our communities. REMEMBER that next time you need something. SHOP LOCAL. They are the ones that support your local schools, ball teams and they are the ones that step up to help their communities. These big chain stores you go shop at hardly never give back and your local businesses need your support and they appreciate the business.
