It began during a season of rebuilding.
When I moved to Austin nearly four years ago, she found herself starting over in a new city, far from the familiar and searching for a sense of home. What began as a creative outlet became something much deeper.
A ritual. A release.
A reminder that healing doesn’t always happen in big, dramatic moments. Sometimes it happens in the quiet moments. Pouring a candle. Taking a breath. Lighting a flame and choosing to begin again.
As a proud Peruvian-American woman, I created Luminosa Vida, meaning “bright life,” as a reflection of her heritage and the belief that even in difficult seasons, there is light within us.
