Legend Lighting Inc. will be closed Monday, May 30, 2022 in observance of Memorial Day.

The national holiday was established to honor those who have died in American wars. Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day. It originated during the American Civil War, when citizens would place flowers on the graves of those who had been killed in battle.

This entry-level customer service position will help our growing company by creating excellent first impressions with all customers who enter or call our lighting gallery and delivering a consistent, positive customer experience.

Legend Lighting is a family owned lighting gallery and distributorship serving homebuilders, interior designers, and homeowners in Austin, Texas, and the surrounding areas. Our company was founded in 2008 and has grown to 18 employees while building a strong reputation as a leader in our local marketplace and our industry.

As a Lighting Gallery Ambassador, you will...
Greet and make excellent first impressions to all customers, both in person and by phone
Identify customers’ needs and match them with the appropriate member of our sales team
Qualify and close certain sales opportunities with customers who meet retail criteria
Assist with creation of customer orders, order status inquiries, timely notification of order availability, and warranty support
Assist with the creation and maintenance of our lighting gallery displays, public spaces, and hospitality efforts
Take on display projects with a creative spirit and resourceful mindset

Requirements and Qualifications:
A customer service heart and strong communication skills
Experience in a retail sales, hospitality or customer service role is helpful but not required
A sincere interest in lighting and/or interior design
Availability to work our lighting gallery hours (8AM-5PM, Monday through Friday)
Comfortable working on your feet while moving about our sales floor
Enjoy working with your hands and assembling things
Ability to lift and carry 35lbs
Highly organized, focused, and attentive to detail
Personal appearance that reflects professionalism and a sense of personal style
Comfortable and knowledgeable working with point-of-sale, inventory management, and customer relationship management software
Basic user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word

Looking for a sharp Order Entry Coordinator to join our growing team
We are a growing small business looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Order Entry Coordinator.

Legend Lighting is a family owned lighting distributorship and showroom serving homebuilders, interior designers, and homeowners in Austin, Texas, and the surrounding areas. Our company was founded in 2008 and has grown to 18 employees while building a strong reputation as a leader in our local marketplace and our industry.

The responsibilities for this position include:
Prepare and maintain job files by retrieving purchase orders and blueprints, resolving discrepancies, and processing work orders
Enter customer orders into point-of-sale software
Manage order changes and errors with customers and team members
Communicate order status issues with field personnel and customers
Work within detailed Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and workbooks
Review monthly reports, and address any issues as needed
Exercise basic administrative skills such as filing, labeling, copying, and scanning
