Designing with intentionality from the start, we create buildings that don’t just look beautiful but function beautifully.

Designing a home that’s truly sustainable takes a lot more than a buzzword.

Using common-sense design techniques such as building orientation and overhangs to maximize natural light while limiting solar heat gain and glare, we can create a home that requires less energy to light it and less energy to keep it cool.

The screened-in porch is one of our favorite design details.

It protects the interior from mosquitoes and bugs while making the home feel larger and giving you an enjoyable outdoor space.

We incorporate many building science attributes into these spaces by orienting the building to capture the breezes and make the home feel more comfortable. Taking advantage of the shading umbrella roof keeps this space shaded throughout the year.

A design is only as good as the thought that went behind it.

Mapping to capture the prevailing breezes so the outdoor spaces feel comfortable even during the hot Texas summers. Overhangs positioned carefully to shade the interior from the harsh sun and prevent glare, while the large windows allow for plenty of natural light.

The rendering shows the bells and whistles. The planning behind it is what makes them worth having.

After volunteering for the Carter Work Project with last fall, we were thrilled to attend the block party to celebrate the completion of the affordable homes constructed in this neighborhood.

We had a lot of fun touring the houses and meeting some of the wonderful families moving in.
