Cream inset base cabinetry with brass bar pulls wraps the working wall, topped with a continuous warm walnut counter running directly behind the range in place of stone.

The black range with brass trim and the matching black sculptural hood are the architectural centerpiece. Framed between glazed subway tile and a walnut countertop, they treat the cooking zone as its own composition — a classical European moment held together by a single dark anchor.

Painted cabinetry for the frame. Walnut for the warmth. Black range for the drama.

Soft greige cabinetry pairs with a full-height walnut tower just beyond the range, two finishes doing two entirely different jobs within the same working wall.

The backsplash is the connector. Warm, imperfect, catching light differently across every tile — picking up the warmth of the walnut while softening the cooler tone of the painted cabinetry.

Tall cabinets in a soft stone paint run the length of the wall, with a single marble slab climbing from worktop to splashback and carrying on into two full-width shelves edged in brass.
The decision to run one marble through the whole wall is the whole move. Rather than breaking the stone into a worktop, a backsplash and a shelf, the slab reads as a single continuous gesture, treating the wall of the kitchen as a gallery might, with every vein left to travel uninterrupted and stoneware set against it like objects on display.

At the end of the run, a tall larder door swings open to reveal walnut shelving and a marble-lined prep nook, tucked behind painted panels that give nothing away.

A kitchen that gives its cabinets and its marble permission to work as one is a kitchen that will never feel dated.

Warm walnut cabinetry wraps the room with a mix of open shelving above and reeded base cabinetry below, every surface finished in the same rich tone and grain.

The reeded detail on the lower doors is the quiet star. Vertical grooves catching light and shadow across the base cabinetry, adding movement and tactile depth without introducing another material or color. The open uppers do the opposite job — displaying a working collection against the raw wood back panel, treating storage as composition.

Reeding for rhythm. Open shelves for life. One wood doing all of it.

Early stages on a ranch house build in Weimar, Texas — and this one is already shaping up to be special.

Custom cabinetry going in across the entire home, every detail designed around the character of the house itself. The bones are right, the plan is dialed, and the install crew is deep into the work.

We are loving this kitchen we just finished in Steiner Ranch. Creamy inset perimeter cabinetry stacked floor to ceiling with brushed nickel bar pulls, anchored by a warm island running horizontally through the center of the room.

The stacked uppers are the architectural move. Rather than ending the cabinetry at a standard height, the second tier carries the millwork all the way to the ceiling — the paneled refrigerator disappears seamlessly into the run, keeping the eye on the cabinetry rather than the appliance.

Ceiling-height discipline. Island warmth. Nothing out of place.

Deep matte black slab cabinetry runs floor to ceiling with no visible hardware, dropped like a sculptural object into a classical Parisian salon of plaster moldings and gilded mirrors.

The island is where the audacity lives. A full waterfall of black veined marble wrapping the center of the room, treated as a monolith rather than a work surface — the entire kitchen reading as one considered intervention against the ornate architecture around it.

Old world room. New world kitchen. Neither one apologizing for the other.

Warm oak slab base cabinetry grounds the composition below, and a single floating oak shelf cuts across the backsplash — breaking the stone into two framed zones and giving the eye somewhere to land without ever competing with the material behind it.
