Scent of Memory - Round 2!

And once again, you taught me something I wasn’t expecting.

Scent of Memory is an activation I created to help people center back to themselves using scent as a doorway to access what’s already inside you. What I’ve discovered is that for most people, it takes them back. To a memory. To a person. To a version of themselves they hadn’t thought about in a while.

But this time, someone went somewhere I hadn’t seen before. She didn’t go back. She went forward.

We both sat with that for a moment.

She found herself somewhere she hadn’t been yet and it stopped her. We sat with it together and I said, you’re the first person this has taken to the future instead of the past.

I left that session with new ideas about what Scent of Memory could become.

Whether you’re being carried back to a memory that shaped you, or catching a glimpse of something that hasn’t happened yet, Scent of Memory is becoming a very powerful way to return to self.

I’m still sitting with what Sunday gave me.
