1st post in a while as I’ve been incredibly busy but this is just to highlight issues other than just leaves or twigs that can clog up a gutter
This was literally in every 2nd story gutter all the way around. I estimate between 1/4-1/2” of shingle grit that loosens in time and ends up in the gutter.
As the rain falls it eventually stops and creates a dam and builds up from there slowing the path of water to a crawl. Once that happens water can sit and within the weight of the grit combined with water it can sag the gutters

Pictures from a recent job that started out as what the owner thought was just blocked gutters
As you'll see from the pics the water was overflowing over the back and the plywood roof was soaking up the moisture and in turn rotting it over a long period.
Even a nest of ants had made a home in the wet wood!!
What they show is the potential problems that arise in the future if the gutters are blocked
Go from clogged to clear to eliminate potential more expensive issues in the future

Do your expierience a lot of mosquitoes around your home?
Chances are your gutters,which normally get ignored, have turned into a breeding ground for them
Standing water is always a haven for them because of blocked gutters

Customer spotted a continuous drip from the back so cleared the gutters and checked for leaks
Didn't find any but the drips continued
Tried a drip edge flashing and it solved the issue
We always get to the issue in the end 😎
