Target has these great labels in the Dollar Spot (for $1) right now (in certain locations).

If you make your own cleaning solutions, like I do, or if you decant purchased cleaners into your own bottles - these might be a nice option for you.

When you’re putting away string / fairy lights, grab a piece of cardboard out of the recycle bin. Wrap the wire around it and secure gently with a rubber band. This will make them easier to store AND easier to unravel in the future.

If it’s sunny and not snowing in your area, here’s a gentle nudge to do some vacuum cleaner maintenance today. Cleaning all the parts with warm water and mild detergent every few months will help keep it running smoothly for years to come!

And that will ensure we keep more money in our wallets…and put less waste in our landfills 🌎

PS: If you’ve never done this before, just Google your vacuum cleaner model and the word “manual”. There are PDFs on the web of almost every machine in existence containing instructions (usually with pics) on how to maintain them. You don’t need to be tech savvy!

Sometimes, we’re reluctant to declutter because we spent a lot of money on an item(s) - which brings up complex emotions and maybe even fuels the fire of negative stories we have about ourselves.

But at the end of the day, no purchased item is more expensive than the cost of not feeling peaceful in our homes every day. It’s ok to let go of items which no longer serve us - even expensive ones.

If you can easily sell it within a week, do that.
If not, donate it (to charity, on BuyNothing, to a friend or family member).
If it’s not donable, put it in the trash; it will be ok.

Decluttering means:
letting go of the stuff you don’t use
(because it’s broken or outdated or didn’t work right), so you have plenty of space for the things that you do use and love.

REMINDER:
While you’re packing away holiday decorations…
be sure to remove the batteries first. There’s no reason for them to slowly go to waste for an entire year in an attic or closet.

Also, it will help avoid any chance of leakage - which could ruin the gadget for next year.
