Sam Knee, owner of At Home Remodeling, has been working in the home improvement field for since 2002. Working in many contracting fields prior to forming his first business, he developed skills that he has taken forward and perfected. In 2006, focusing on interior & exterior painting, Sam and a high school friend formed A&K Precision Painting. After many successful years together, Sam and his busi

ness partner seeked seperate ventures and closed A&K Precision Painting. Sam decided he wanted to shift his business more toward residential remodeling. In 2011 he formed At Home Remodeling. Since then Sam has taken on hundreds of painting and remodeling projects focusing on the highest quality of service and customer satisfaction. With the modern era of 3D CAD design, Sam has trained on multiple design software platforms expanding his ability to work directly with his clients during the initial design phase of a variety of project types.

During his free time, Sam is a family man who enjoys spending as much time with his wife and son. Since 2009, Sam has also given back to his community as an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter for Tunxis Hose Company No.1 in Unionville, CT. His passion for woodworking often has him spending late nights and weekends in his wood shop building his own furniture and crafts, perfecting his precise skills with wood and his tools.

Had a lot of fun doing more building and fabricating with this kitchen vs. just installing! We custom built all new shaker style doors and drawers, a new open shelf cabinet in place of old free standing shelves and fabricated maple butcher block counters all in shop to add to this nice facelift project in New Britain. Once the homeowners finish everything by painting it will look fantastic!

Love these colors in this Farmington kitchen. Navy is a hot color right now. Refinished the old natural dark stained cabinets at this home in Farmington with bright white upper cabinets and a beautiful blue from Ben Moore (Hudson Bay #1680) for the lowers and the island. The completion of our kitchen project in Simsbury. We opened up the original kitchen by taking down the wall between the kitchen and dining room and added a pass through opening to the family room. The original maple cabinets were left in place but we constructed a new island and matched the aged color of the old maple cabinets. E&W granite provided beautiful white counters to replace to old black counters and we finished everything off by replacing the black slate backsplash with bright white subway tiles

Better late than never to share this great kitchen! We finished this full kitchen remodel in East Hartford just before Thanksgiving. Using bright white cabinets from Cliq Studios, dark black counters from E&W granite, and rich gunstock hardwood floors from Mercier, finished off with a nice light grey wall paint, we achieved a great balance of colors with this one

Courtesy of COVID we didn’t get the final touches completed on this full bathroom remodel in Unionville until mid summer but it came out great. This one included a custom built vanity in our shop to the homeowners spec along with a matching cabinet above the toilet. Shower, whirlpool bath tub surround and counter tops were all Carerra marble

How does one toilet require this many boxes!! This Saniflo toilet solves all the problems associated with installing a bathroom below grade. We are turning an unfinished basement laundry room into a nicely finished half bath/laundry combo for a client in Unionville who wants to be able to have a bathroom easily accessible from their pool without dripping water throughout the entire house to use an upstairs bathroom. Finish job pictures to come!
