From Slope to Sanctuary: The Ultimate Hillside Transformation
This project tackled a massive elevation challenge, converting an unusable, steep incline into a functional, multi-level landscape. Here is how we maximized the footprint:
• Three-Level Terrace: Carved out usable flat ground where there was once only a slope, creating distinct zones for planting and recreation.
• Structural Upgrades: Built a heavy-duty retaining wall to secure the hillside and integrated a new additional parking pad for better property utility.
• Access & Flow: Installed custom stairs at the top level for seamless navigation and a durable stone landing to provide a clean, mud-free entrance to the shed.

So thrilled! 🤩 Just harvested my very own homegrown garlic! 🌱🧄 From a simple grocery store bulb to this beautiful bounty. Here's how I did it:
* I started with garlic bulbs from the grocery store. Look for firm, healthy bulbs with no sprouts.
* Gently separated the individual cloves, keeping the papery skins intact. These are what you'll plant!
* Plant in October/November), pointy side up, about 2 inches deep and 4-6 inches apart in well-drained soil.
* Cover with soil.
* In late spring/early summer, curly flower stalks called scapes appeared. I snipped these off to encourage bulb growth (and they're delicious sautéed!).
* Signs of Readiness: The lower leaves started to turn yellow and brown, and the stalks began to soften and fall over – these were my cues that harvest time was near!
* Carefully dig the bulbs.
* Curing: Gently brush off excess soil and lay the bulbs out to cure in a well-ventilated, shady spot for a few weeks until the necks dry and the outer skins become papery.
