This past week we said goodbye to one of our founders, owners and friends, Sal.
Sal always had a smile on his face, even on the rare occasion he was yelling at you he was still smiling😁
Sal was like our “building super”, if something needed fixing Sal was there to save the day. His vast skill set was astonishing and he’d jump right in there to get it done💪🤠 After the flood in 11’ & 23’ that wiped out many of our fields, he was there, after the Christmas Eve fire that destroyed our building, he was there.
I remember when I saw the replacement building, I wanted to cry, it actually almost looked worse than what we tore down, but it’s what we could get on short notice and Sal said, don’t worry “I fix it”, and fix it he did and in record time too! He had us all ready before the spring rush, amazing!😎
But Sal had more than just jobsite skills, Sal had a way of making you feel good😊 He’d pop in just to say hello and ask how things were going, offer encouragement and that famous smile of his. Sometimes he’d surprise you with lunch and then, sometimes he’d surprise you by taking your lunch😂
As a native of Italy, his English wasn’t always perfect, some of the phrases he came up with were um, interesting and some were downright hilarious and several have now become a permanent part of my vernacular😙
Sal was one of the hardest working people I have ever known, a dedicated family man and the best boss whom I’ve ever had the privilege to serve, he will be sorely missed💔😢
