A First-Time Visit to the Philadelphia Flower Show!

At the begginging of March, I finally experienced the Philadelphia Flower Show—and wow, what an unforgettable event! From lush floral sculptures to innovative garden designs, the exhibits showcased the artistry and passion of gardeners and floral designers from around the world.

It was amazing to see how flowers can transform a space and tell a story—each display was more inspiring than the last! If you haven’t been, I highly recommend adding this event to your list for next year.

This was one of my first design projects. A very special project for some wonderful people. In this project, we designed a pathway connecting the upper deck to a newly designed patio/living space. The pathway then connected to a rear patio by the barbeque. We then had to design a center patio to match the existing back patio. We also redesigned and reclaimed space in the lightwell to make an area for a potted kitchen garden. I assisted with some project management of a great group of installers. Now into year three, the planting plan and garden design are filling out nicely with a set of perennials and other plants the homeowner was fond of.
