In honor of our workers and the Labor Day holiday, Gradeline made the decision to give our employees TWO EXTRA PAID HOLIDAYS this weekend, Friday and Tuesday, on either side of Labor Day.
Most winters, paving work slows down as the holidays approach. Not this year. Our crews were still paving straight through December and into January. Then the ice and snow hit, and we shifted right into snow removal: day shifts, night shifts, around the clock, for weeks on end.
Once the snow finally melted, we headed into our busiest spring ever, largely because of the road damage those storms left behind. And when summer arrived, it brought brutal heat right along with it. Our crews often worked night shifts just to keep jobs moving and get a break from the sun.
It's been one of the hardest working years we've seen at Gradeline, in some of the toughest conditions our crews have faced. And through all of it, they kept an outstanding commitment to safety, with no major safety incidents all year. That's a testament to how seriously our team takes looking out for each other, even when the work is hardest.
To our crews: enjoy the extended weekend. Rest up. You've done incredible work this year. We see it, and we thank you.
