NEW DESIGNS COMING! I just cut a tractor design and cut a sawblade. Stay tuned to see what’s next! Hint: farmhouse primitive meets homestead life!
On the homestead front, we got our first egg yesterday! Found this cute basket around the house to collect them. Today we found two more but they were really thin and broken. Turns out that’s totally normal when hens first start laying. Added oyster shell to their diet and the shells should firm up as their bodies adjust. Learning as we go! 🐔🩚❤️

If you’re going to raise chickens, invest in reinforced steel doors. Regular screens are merely obstacles. Domino didn’t get the memo about ‘contained coops.

Got this text from Hubby this morning: “Making the king’s castle more and more secure everyday. The kings have plenty of food and water still.”

Hubby did so much work getting this ready yesterday, and we didn’t realize we’d have to move so fast. It was hot and he was tired from all the prep. We got the run built but didn’t get hardware cloth on one of those Lowes windows before we ran out of steam. Those aren’t chicken windows like the hen coop, and this morning Domino found his escape route. So today Hubby’s securing what we missed. This is what TimberBloom looks like behind the scenes. Hard work. Problem solving. Never done learning. 🐓🔨

The moment we’ve been waiting for… The roosters’ first time on their brand new run! A little teamwork, some quick carpentry (2x6 and 1x2), and finally some peace and quiet. The outdoor lumber is a little slippery under their feet, but they’re figuring it out. Sure, the coop still needs work… no automatic door batteries yet, no light hooked up, and plenty still to go. But watching them discover their new space? Worth every nail. Here’s hoping this is the calm before the storm. Homesteading: beautiful, imperfect, and always an adventure. 🐓✨

Our goal for the next two weeks is building inventory of handmade decor across DIY paint kits, wood signs, sewing items, and wood burned pieces. We have two of our biggest craft shows coming up in November, so we’re stocking up on everything! What product are you most excited to see us bring to the shows? Drop your favorites in the comments!

Hubby sent me a picture of the new rooster coop he’s building.

Me: “Wow! Is that for me?” 😍

Hubby: “You better watch it… you’ll be sleeping in it!” 😂

Me: “Wait… what?! I thought you were finally building me a she shed!” 🤪🐓

I guess the roosters won this round! 😂❤️
