Let’s talk about Forsythia. The ones on my property are beginning to flower. The best time to prune them is within a few weeks after they’re done flowering (but don’t prune past mid-July). You can remove one third of the oldest wood or you can prune it to a foot or two above the ground! They grow quickly and aggressively and can tolerate heavy pruning. Forsythia branches hanging to the ground will root. Over time, this creates a “thicket”.

Yesterday was the type of day I’ve been waiting for!😎 An afternoon of weeding and some black mulch for the win! My clients needed some last minute curb appeal for their listing photos. Azure Gardens to the rescue!

What a fantastic weekend filled with hockey, family, food, more hockey and lots of driving. We left at 5am on Friday for Michael’s first weekend of EHLP games. His team went 4-0 in their showcase! We drove home Saturday night because Grey’s first (ever) travel game was Sunday morning. He let in a few goals but made some awesome saves and played 1.5 games. I’m so proud of how hard he works. #37&40

Did you know that you can install an automatic irrigation system for less than $100? We’ve never had potted flowers at camp because we’re not here to water during the week. We planted this hydrangea bed back in 2023. It required some serious TLC in the form of weeding, additional planting and mulch to keep weeds at bay.
